As a Feminist, Humanist and a person ill-equipped to comment on ‘trans’ nevertheless I will comment and I thank Kristina for this opportunity to listen to a non-judgemental and considerate view of the coming tide of people changing gender. My concern is not to do with the act but with the possible results for women? Trans, in my opinion, cannot erase years of conditioning. The conditioning of all of us is based on centuries of Christianity(even though I am an Atheist and raised in an Atheist household, I have to acknowledge the unrealised results of such brainwashing). My concern is that trans from male to female could mean that in the first instance the outwardly female person carries with her all the inherant male characteristics’ e.,g. domination,
