The money was just resting in their account

A scandal is breaking in Ireland as it is emerging that the country’s equality minister, Roderic O’Gorman has been transferring large sums of money to gender identity projects for the last 18 months, money which had been earmarked for spending on initiatives for ethnic minorities and survivors of state-sponsored abuse. Most shockingly, money was taken from The Magdalene Laundry Redress fund, which aims to pay compensation for women and girls who’d been abused by the Catholic church and the Irish state in those infamous institutions.

One of the major beneficiaries is a transgender group that experienced a funding halt from Ireland’s health service due to repeated accounting lapses during the same period.

The horrifying rehabilitation of paedophilia | The Spectator Australia

The first step in the rehabilitation of any behaviour is language, in this case, how to turn abuse into something warm and fuzzy sounding, like ‘minor-attracted persons’.

Language is crucial in framing and shifting public opinion. Paedophilia has such negative connotations, involving the abuse of children and babies. If paedophiles become minor-attracted persons, it’s harder to distinguish who the victims are. Sounds pretty harmless really… Who could argue with such a mild-sounding epithet that obscurs the nature of the attraction and the harm to the minor?

The next step in the rehabilitation of any behaviour is to make it fashionable. Maybe you can get a fashion house or a celebrity to endorse the objectification of children and paedophilia as cool or edgy? Couple that with sexualised material being presented to children by sexualised presenters and the barriers to grooming start to fall. The normal protective behaviours of children towards those who might want to harm them are undermined – it’s discriminatory to question the motives of anyone presenting sexual material to kids, and providing a parody of womanhood to little girls.

How old-fashioned it has become to believe that kids deserve a childhood and they don’t exist to serve the wishes of MAPS.

The soft-sell promoters of paedophilia need to be confronted with the reality of what they are selling. That it’s not just about a Woke social movement tinkering with labels, but the lives of real children who can do nothing to protect themselves. Sexual abuse of children has long-lasting effects. It’s the first betrayal that affects how a person views the world. But it’s never bought up in discussions about re-examining paedophilia, as if the victims just fade away without any consequence, or as if there are no victims at all. It’s a victimless crime… I guess it is, if the victims can’t put into words what has happened to them and advocate on their behalf. The goal is to treat paedophilia as just another sexual preference along the continuum of adult sexual presentations, consent is implied, no matter what the law says.

Andrew Bogut in bombshell claim about NBL and trans woman on all-female team; Nick Kyrgios backs him | Daily Mail Online

Female basketball players have rushed to condemn Andrew Bogut for his ‘transphobic’ comments on a ‘biological male’ playing in a women’s league – but the Aussie legend has some high-profile support in his corner.

But Bogut took the controversial saga to a whole new level when he stunningly accused the board responsible for approving a female transgender player competing in the semi-professional league of being ‘very, very biased’.

‘The [NBL1 South] clubs were asked for their opinion on it, comically. None of them did in fear of losing their jobs,’ he said, though no coaches have commented on the matter, he said in a video on Tuesday.

‘I’ve got nothing against people who want to transition as adults  … I do have an issue however that you feel that you can infiltrate women’s sport.

‘There’s actually a board of experts that sits, both basketball and medical experts, that determine whether you should be allowed to transition, and when you look into the background of these experts and their former jobs … it’s a pretty biased board.

Transgender Daycare Worker Charged With Sexually Abusing Baby – Reduxx

A trans-identified male is awaiting arraignment on charges of sexually abusing a baby while working at a daycare center. Maria Childers, 25, had been employed at the Explore Learning Academy in Paducah, Kentucky when the abuse is said to have occurred last November. \

According to a solitary local report on the incident, Childers had made inappropriate comments towards the infant while changing the child’s diaper, and had also touched the baby inappropriately.

Childers has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 12, and is currently housed in the McCracken County Jail with a bond set at $100,000. According to the inmate roster, his sex has been recorded as male. He is expected in court for arraignment on March 23.

Domestic violence law reforms pass Queensland parliament, but consultation on criminalisation of coercive control continues – ABC News

A suite of domestic violence reforms passed in the Queensland parliament will strengthen protection for victims.

The changes will expand the definition of domestic and family abuse to include a “pattern of behaviour” and will strengthen the offence of stalking.

The amendments also strengthen the court’s ability to consider previous domestic violence or criminal history and to award costs to avoid further abuse to victims.

Sue and Lloyd Clarke, the parents and grandparents of Hannah Clarke and her three children who were murdered by Hannah’s estranged partner in 2020, spoke outside parliament today.

Ms Fentiman, who is also the Minister for Justice and Minister for Women, said the reforms would include “extensive” training for frontline services, like police and domestic and family violence support services, to better identify and respond to coercive control.

“At the moment, really, our system is set up to respond to one individual incident of physical violence. That is not how domestic and family violence is experienced by so many victims,” she said.

State and territory attorneys-general met with federal Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus in August to debate whether to criminalise coercive control nationally, and Ms Fentiman said consistency between states on criminal law was preferable.

Sharon Stone Reveals Why She Lost Custody—But It’s Not What She Thinks

Sharon Stone revealed for the first time Tuesday on iHeart’s Table for Two podcast why she lost custody of her young son—or, rather, why she believes she lost custody.

What she doesn’t realize is that the judge’s stated reasoning for his ruling was just a pretext.

Sharon’s case is unusual in that she was not found to be lying, alienating or mentally ill. Just too sexy. Actually, having acted too sexy.

The judge asked my child—my tiny, little, tiny boy, “Do you know your mother makes sex movies?”

The movie the judge was referring to, Basic Instinct, had come out 12 years before the custody battle even began. Stone became famous for this role, in which she plays a sociopathic, bisexual woman who is a murder suspect.

To think that a judge would take custody away from a loving mother due to an acting role that has no bearing on parenting is incomprehensible. It harkens back to the old witch trials.

But what many Coalition moms know is that is not really why Sharon lost custody. Sure, the misogynistic judge may have disapproved of her acting, but it’s crucial to not be fooled and misdirected by superficial judicial machinations.

Sharon’s case supports the Coalition’s position that the Custody Crisis is not essentially about abuse. She did not claim her ex was abusive to her son or her. In fact, there are plenty of women who’ve lost custody who did not report any abuse by their ex.

As every mom knows, it is the cruelest form of torture to be deprived of your child. Not to mention the trauma a child experiences being deprived of his mother. Sharon was restricted to just one brief visit a month with Roan.

The take away here is that Sharon would have lost custody anyway, whether she had played a too-sexy role or not. The truth is, the system is rigged so women do not have the power to maintain custody. So, women like Sharon, and millions of others around the world, should not feel it was their fault for having lost custody.

The problem is women do not know the Family Court system is rigged until it is too late. And many do not ever realize the real reason they lost custody. Sharon correctly states she experienced “abuse by the system” but does not appear to realize that abuse was a result of systemic male entitlement and it’s counterpart: systemic discrimination against women.

Swimwear giant Seafolly have claified who their official female brand ambassador is amid widespread criticism for allowing a non-binary activist to promote their brand.

After days of criticism, Seafolly Australia finally issued a statement on Friday regarding their latest campaign, saying they continue to support and uplift women.

Writer Alexandra Marshall was one of those who had spoken out against brand’s partnership with Todorovič, saying the swimwear brand was ‘mocking women’ and said she would boycott Seafolly.

‘Bye @seafolly. Never again. Been buying swimsuits from you for many years. Never again,’ she posted on Twitter.

The great relabelling | Victoria Smith | The Critic Magazine

A quick glance at the news might create the impression that the adults who spend the most time selflessly reading to small children are drag queens. Actually, it’s mums — boring old mums, with their boring old rules, routines and low-heeled shoes.

It is thus with some irritation that I’ve watched recent debates over the posthumous editing of Roald Dalh’s work. Suddenly, the stories we tell our children are deemed to matter, if only in the context of a primary colours battle between good and evil, past and present, in which you’re either with the censors or behind the times. It’s a battle in which individual words are deemed to capture entire worldviews. Strip them out, and then you’ll be pure.

There has been no attempt to rewrite entire stories, because of course this would not be possible. The Witches is still about the need to eliminate all the evil women who walk among us; Esio Trot is still about a man who deceives a woman into having a relationship with him. It’s just that the evil women might be masquerading as top scientists rather than secretaries, and Mr Hoppy might be attracted to Mrs Silva’s “kindness” rather than her body. These are, I might add, the kind of off-the-cuff “edits” one might slip in whilst reading to a child, all the while thinking “why am I even bothering?”

Changing words isn’t the same as changing endings. This is quick-fix, find-and-replace diversity and inclusion, social justice as in-group etiquette. Then again, how could it be otherwise? Misogyny runs through The Witches; remove it, and there would be nothing left. What you can do is put the story in context, accept its imperfections, perhaps even draw links with sexism and othering as it exists in the world around you now. Alternatively, you could just not read it at all. What you can’t do is use it to demonstrate not just how much better — how much purer and kinder — you are in relation to readers of the past, but how easy it is to correct everything.

Drag Queen Story Hour is viewed by many as a way of getting a concentrated shot of gender nonconformity into your child. One hour and you’re done! Whereas actually encouraging your child to question social and political norms is a daily, constant slog. It can be boring. They often think you’re making things up.

Nonetheless, this is the only way to change the way children interpret the world — alongside them, in dialogue, giving up things you might hold dear. These are how better stories get written. There are no shortcuts.
