Ministers face court action as woke indoctrination ‘runs riot’ in UK schools (from March 2024)

Three Cabinet Ministers have been warned they could face court action after being accused of letting woke indoctrination “run riot” in British schools.

Maths teacher Kevin Lister and two parents have approached the High Court about trans campaigners promoting gender identity ideology in classrooms.

The Bad Law Project, which is supporting the court action, argued gender ideology is a political matter and subsequently could fall foul of the Education Act.

Education Secretary Gillian Keegan, Equalities Minister Kemi Badenoch and Attorney General Victoria Prentis have all been accused by Lister of failing to uphold the law.

Lister, who was sacked for using the wrong pronouns, said: “My 20 years of teaching A-level came to an abrupt end when I was sacked and marched off the premises for refusing to call a girl a boy.

“The Education Department can waffle on endlessly about their meaningless guidance to schools – in practice schools and their trans activists allies are being allowed to run riot.”

Hilary Cass: I can’t travel on public transport after gender report

Dr Hilary Cass has criticised the spread of “disinformation” around her report, including from a Labour MP, as she revealed she had been told not to travel on public transport over safety fears.

In an interview with The Times, the paediatrician behind last week’s landmark review on the treatment of transgender children said that young people were being put “at risk” by the spread of false information.

Following publication of her 388-page report, figures including the Labour MP Dawn Butler repeated claims that Cass had not included 100 transgender studies in it.

Calling the assertion “completely wrong”, Cass said that it was “unforgivable” for people to undermine her report by spreading “straight disinformation”.

Cass explained that researchers had appraised every single paper, but pulled the results from the ones that were high quality and medium quality, which was 60 out of 103.

But Cass, the former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, is remaining resolute, despite being thrown into the middle of the culture wars.

Meanwhile, NHS England has announced a Cass-style review of adult gender clinics.

“You heard it right here: I am not going to do the adult gender clinic review,” Cass said.

Greens Party of England and Wales (GPEW) in chaos over Cass

We at the Green Women’s Declaration are deeply troubled by the recent events surrounding the Green Party of England and Wales’ (GPEW) response to the Cass Final Report. The party’s handling of this crucial issue has been marred by confusion, inaction, and a disturbing capitulation to bullying tactics from certain factions within the party.

As you may have noticed, GPEW finally issued a statement on the Cass Review, six days after the report’s publication and following our open letter asking for their response to Cass. However, in a shocking turn of events, the statement was removed from the party’s website mere hours later. (read their statement here)

It has come to our attention that this decision was made under pressure from Deputy Leader Zack Polanski and Co-leader Carla Denyer, who succumbed to the demands of angry and bullying voices from the ‘LGBTIQA+’ Greens on X and behind the scenes.

This incident raises serious questions about the leadership of our party. Are our leaders mere puppets, bowing to the whims of vocal and attention-seeking activists who prioritize their own ideological agenda over the Green Party core values of science and reason?

It appears that the LGBTIQA+ Greens have threatened to withdraw their support for the leadership in future elections, effectively holding the party hostage to their demands.

Former Green Party Women Co-Chair Emma Bateman highlighted the toxic culture that has developed within the party over the last decade saying “all criticism of gender ideology is now deemed to be hateful, so the leadership and trans activists have become accustomed to simply batting away difficult questions and silencing members via a quick smear of “transphobia.”ons, effectively holding the party hostage to their demands.

Losing Women, Losing Breastfeeding: A Crisis of Words | Breastfeeding Medicine

Most people would probably agree that use of desexed terms (like “parents”) should be encouraged when the sex of a person or thing is not relevant. However, it is less obvious that using desexed terms when sex is relevant can sometimes be problematic. When discussing reproductive health, using desexed language can sometimes cause inaccurate information to be conveyed and can also cause confusion.

Aside from such technical problems, with confusion caused by inappropriate use of desexed language, we must consider whether there is a broader social cost to this shift in language. If we do not mention women, are we harming the way society values women? Could this language affect the way women view their pride in their identities as women and mothers? Is there harm to the advocacy of issues that are specific to women, like reproductive rights, paid maternity leave, equal pay, sex-based violence, and workplace discrimination? After all, when “women” are simply “people” like everyone else, discrimination against women becomes invisible.

“Lactation” and “human milk feeding” are only about milk and nutrition and have nothing to do with nurturing a child, bonding with a child, or the time spent in constant physical contact with a child. Neither “lactation” nor “human milk feeding” even require physical contact between a mother and her child, let alone an emotional connection, even when such connections exist. These terms are dehumanizing when used this way.

No word or words can substitute for breastfeeding as a social behavior. While some dyads cannot feed directly at the breast, exclusive pumping should not be embraced as a normal way to feed an infant. The lack of normal physiology is not only exhausting for mothers and infants,19 but bottle-feeding lacks the aspects of breastfeeding shown to increase maternal sensitivity and mother–child attachment.20 In addition, pumped milk has a different microbiota profile that offers less immune protection for the infant.14

We cannot allow ourselves to reach a place where “women,” “mothers,” and “breastfeeding” become obsolete words, particularly in academia and science.

FURRY INFESTATION: Middle School Students Walk Out in Protest After School Leaders Allow “Furries” to Terrorize Them – They BITE, SCRATCH, BARK, CHEW ON STICKS, HAVE A KITTY LITTER BOX in Bathroom (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit | by Jim Hoft

Middle school students at Mt. Nebo School in Payson Utah held a walk out protest today against unhinged school officials that allow “furries’ to terrorize them at school.

The students report in the video below that the “furries” bite, scratch, and bark at them. The furries also chew on sticks in class and a kitty litter box was set up in the girls restroom for them to use.

In the video by LifeIsDriving the children also note that they are required to keep a distance from “furries,” whereas the same rule does not apply for the “furries.”

The protesting youth believe that the school’s tolerance stems from the principal, whose child happens to be a “furry.”

This is insane. The children are the adults here.

Youth Gender Medications Limited in England, Part of Big Shift in Europe – The New York Times

The National Health Service in England started restricting gender treatments for children this month, making it the fifth European country to limit the medications because of a lack of evidence of their benefits and concern about long-term harms.

In 2020, Finland’s health agency restricted the care by recommending psychotherapy as the primary treatment for adolescents with gender dysphoria. Two years later, Sweden restricted hormone treatments to “exceptional cases.”
In December, regional health authorities in Norway designated youth gender medicine as a “treatment under trial,” meaning hormones will be prescribed only to adolescents in clinical trials. And in Denmark, new guidelines being finalized this year will limit hormone treatments to transgender adolescents who have experienced dysphoria since early childhood.
Even the original Dutch clinic is facing pressure to limit patients receiving the care. In December, a public documentary series in the Netherlands questioned the basis of the treatments. And in February, months after a far-right political party swept an election in a country long known as socially liberal, the Dutch Parliament passed a resolution to conduct research comparing the current Dutch approach with that of other European countries.
Other countries have seen more overt attacks on transgender rights and health care. In 2020, Hungary’s Parliament passed a law banning gender identity changes on legal documents. Last year, Russia banned legal gender changes as well as gender-related medical care, with one lawmaker describing gender surgeries as the “path to the degeneration of the nation.”
In France this year, a group of conservative legislators introduced a bill to ban doctors from prescribing puberty blockers and hormones, with punishments of two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 30,000 euros, or about $32,600. And on Monday, the Vatican condemned gender transitions as threats to human dignity.

Britain Confronts the Shaky Evidence for Youth Gender Medicine – The Atlantic

At the request of the English National Health Service, the senior pediatrician Hilary Cass has completed the most thorough consideration yet of this field, and her report calmly and carefully demolishes many common activist tropes. Puberty blockers do have side effects, Cass found. The evidence base for widely used treatments is “shaky.” Their safety and effectiveness are not settled science.

The report drew on extensive interviews with doctors, parents, and young people, as well as on a series of new, systematic literature reviews. Its publication marks a decisive turn away from the affirmative model of treatment, in line with similar moves in other European countries.

What Cass does feel confident in saying is this: When it comes to alleviating gender-related distress, “for the majority of young people, a medical pathway may not be the best way to achieve this.”

The Cass report’s findings also contradict the prevailing wisdom at many media outlets, some of which have uncritically repeated advocacy groups’ talking points.
