SPAIN: Male Soldier Who Identifies As A “Lesbian” Sues Military For €50,000 After Being Denied Access To Women’s Washrooms – Reduxx

A soldier in Spain is suing the Ministry of Defense for almost €50,000 after accusing officials of not properly facilitating or accomodating his “gender transition.” Francisco Javier López, 43, recently announced he identified as a lesbian, but that he would not be changing his name or physical appearance in any way.

“I’m not going to get an amputation, nor will I have any surgery,” López told Spanish media. “I am happy with my body and I like women.” He continued by revealing his alleged motivations for the change, stating: “I realized some things and I felt like a woman. For example, I’m a beautician, and I feel better talking to women than men.”

López is the father of an underage girl, and, just months prior to deciding to change his sex marker, he appeared on a dating reality show called First Dates. During his time on the show, he confessed to liking “long hair and high heels,” and also said he had a “high heel shoe fetish.”

But the Army refused his request, claiming that there were space issues and that the women’s facilities were already over-occupied. After filing a complaint, the Army then told López that the expansion of the female locker rooms were underway, and offered him access to the women’s senior command locker rooms on a fixed schedule in the interim. López would have been able to use those facilities at set times, preventing the female soldiers from having to interact with him in the intimate space.

But López believed that those measures were unfair, and said he felt discriminated against because of his transgender status.

The surge in men rushing to change their gender markers has been denounced by some trans activists as “trans fraud,” despite the fact that they had been the ones to campaign to relax self-identification requirements.

Examining Helen Dalton MP’s Amendments to the Equality Bill | The Catholic Weekly

Helen Dalton MP, the Independent member for Murray, raised 16 amendments to the seven-member committee, all of which were defeated, before the report was released on 3 June recommending the draft legislation be considered by parliament.

She says the bill goes further than simply promoting the equality of LGBT persons and, if passed, will direct much-needed resources from the bush to city electorates.

The green light for debate comes despite an online survey by the NSW Legislative Assembly Committee on Community Services indicating 85 per cent of more than 13,000 respondents were opposed to the bill and the vast majority also opposed to its specific recommendations.

Dalton first moved that the report recommend the parliament not proceed to consider the Equality Legislation Amendment (LGBTIQA+) Bill 2023.

Also voted down were Dalton’s attempts to insert arguments from advocacy group Women’s Forum Australia against the decriminalisation of prostitution due to its “harmful and exploitative nature,” and the Feminist Legal Clinic against reducing prohibitions against commercial surrogacy laws.

Both proposals are in the bill, which recommends changes to 20 different laws.

Dalton wanted the testimony of Genspect Australia about new evidence of harms associated with the use of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones on children and young people, and the growing number of detransitioners, to be included in the report, which only mildly notes that “stakeholders called for caution” on providing access to these.

“I’m not at all discriminatory but I think that this bill is really bad for women and girls and is a real step back for us in the bush,” she said.

“Most of our pools have been built years ago, we don’t have little change cubicles that can give you privacy, and I don’t know if I want my eight-year-old girl getting changed in the same room as basically a man who’s expecting to be [regarded as] a woman.

“I don’t think that’s acceptable for most people. We haven’t got any equivalence with medical care [in the cities] or anything like that.

“We’re just so far behind and I can just see if this bill passes that it will be even worse for us when we’re trying to just get the basics for the majority of people.”

Posie Parker assault case: Tomato juice protester Eliana Golberstein pleads guilty – NZ Herald

An activist who doused controversial British anti-transgender rights campaigner Posie Parker with tomato juice during a raucous speaking event and counter-protest in Auckland has admitted two common assault charges.

Eli Rubashkyn, 35, whose legal name is Eliana Golberstein, faced two charges of assault after the incident on March 25 last year at the Albert Park band rotunda.

She pleaded guilty to the charges via her lawyer James Olsen during a brief appearance via audio-visual link before Judge Claire Ryan at the Auckland District Court on Friday.

Golberstein, who is transgender, arrived at Albert Park about 11am.

Parker entered a band rotunda to address the crowd and was greeted with an embrace by Sturt.

Golberstein was also in the rotunda, carrying a one-litre bottle of Keri Premium tomato juice, the summary of facts says.

“Ms Golberstein approached Ms Keen and Ms Sturt and poured the tomato juice over them both, covering their hair and clothing.

“Ms Golberstein’s intentions were to prevent Ms Keen from speaking by covering Ms Keen with the tomato juice.”

In October last year, Judge Ryan rejected Olsen’s application for the charges to be dismissed.

“I do not accept that protest and counter-protest should be expected to end in violence,” the judge said.

“People in this diverse and tolerant society when they go to protests should expect that they can protest peacefully.”

Turning the Tide on Transgenderism – Chronicles

“I believed it was a woman’s place to be sexually harmed by men, that it was natural,” Prisha Mosley told The Washington Post. Mosley was just 14 when a man sexually assaulted her.

The rape resulted in a pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage. An already broken girl began to struggle with intense anorexia, anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. The body into which she was born became like an iron maiden, a box spiked with nails that constantly pierced her psyche from all directions.

Then, one day, she was introduced to a panacea, the thing that would, like spring rain, wash away all her heartache and pain. Mosley was encouraged to medically transition from a girl to a boy. It offered the possibility of escaping the womanhood that she had come to associate with bottomless suffering. In so-called gender-affirming care, Mosley saw hope glimmering on the horizon.

But her sexual transition ultimately made everything worse. Mosley’s daily life became a waking nightmare. Now her psychological scars would be accompanied by physical ones. They would serve as reminders that when she was lost and in need of help, Mosley was led into treacherous shoals by the siren song of transgenderism, irreversibly damaging her body in the process.

Last summer, Mosley announced that she was suing the medical practitioners and clinics that took her down this primrose path. She is one of a growing number of “detransitioners” seeking legal restitution from those who failed to uphold the Hippocratic oath and “do no harm.” The lawsuits come at a time when more and more data emerge to confirm the obvious: gender reassignment treatments are morally dangerous and scientifically unsound, as Mosley’s case illustrates. Though each detransitioner has a horror story, Mosley’s is particularly hellish.

Family Court case: Some testosterone side effects ‘reversible’, gender clinician tells child | The Australian

A doctor advising a young girl on whether to take cross-sex hormones told the child some side effects of taking testosterone, including vaginal atrophy, were reversible or would not last forever, and said there was “scientific debate” about whether the treatment could have an impact on her fertility.

The doctor, who works for one of Australia’s largest public gender clinics, also says gender diversity is a “normal variation of human development” and refuses to admit it could be influenced by “external pressure”.
The case emerged as the latest development in a highly complex family law matter in which the parents are divided over whether their child can medically transition to become a boy.
One parent opposes the prescription of the cross-sex hormones, previously telling the child they will “grow out of it”. The other supports the transition, and is trying to claim full parental responsibility.
The matter is on the brink of becoming a “royal commission” into the Australian model of care for gender dysphoria, the Federal Circuit and Family Court heard on Tuesday, as lawyers debate the legitimacy of Britain’s Cass review which found Australia’s guidelines on gender-affirmative medicine lacked rigour and independence.
The Australian is bound by a strict suppression order that prevents – among other things – the publication of either parent’s gender, or the name of any clinicians that have treated the gender dysphoric child.
The doctor was asked by barrister Belle Lane, acting for the parent opposed to the child’s transition, how she could be sure whether a child’s gender identity would remain into adulthood before prescribing them medical treatment.
“You don’t have any test that gives with absolute certainty that a child’s gender identity will continue through their adult life,” Ms Lane said.
The doctor responded: “No such test exists and gender identity changes over time. There is no specific test to determine how someone will feel in the future about their gender identity but that doesn’t mean we … take it on face value.”

Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas loses CAS case to overturn World Aquatics ban – ABC News

  • In short: Lia Thomas has lost her case against World Aquatics at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
  • The decision prevents the American from having any chance of competing at the Paris Olympics.
  • What’s next? The US Olympic swimming trials begin on June 15.

Thomas had lodged a case with CAS in January in a bid to overturn the ban and compete in elite female races again, arguing that the provisions were “invalid and unlawful”, and also discriminatory.

“World Aquatics welcomes the recent decision made by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding the case of Lia Thomas, which we believe is a major step forward in our efforts to protect women’s sport,” World Aquatics said in a statement.
