Police who warned man about ‘transphobic’ tweet acted unlawfully

High court finds actions of Humberside police had ‘chilling effect’ on Harry Miller’s right to free speech.

In a strongly-worded judgement, Mr Justice Julian Knowles said the effect of police turning up at Miller’s place of work “because of his political opinions must not be underestimated”.

He said: “In this country we have never had a Cheka, a Gestapo or a Stasi. We have never lived in an Orwellian society,” he said.

Doctors Advise How to ‘Override’ Parents’ Refusal of Trans Medical Treatment for Children

“Gender-affirming” doctors authored an article in the Journal of Medical Ethics of the BMJ (British Medical Journal) in which they advise the trans industry how they can prevail over parents who are reluctant to allow their children to participate in treatments, such as puberty blocker, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries.

Dr. Michelle Cretella, executive director of the American College of Pediatricians, confirmed to Breitbart News Dubin and colleagues “make the case for a child’s right to self-consent to puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and body-modifying surgeries – with state override of resistant parents.”

“Parents are already losing their children over this issue,” she said, adding:

Sadly, with a few exceptions, the medical establishment is placing sexual ideology and profits above children’s health and well-being. While opposition to the transition of youth is being painted as a “right-wing” movement, this label cannot apply to the Australian College of Physicians,  the Royal College of General Practitioners in the United Kingdom, and the Swedish National Council for Medical Ethics, all of whom characterize prescribing puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones in youth as experimental and dangerous. Similarly, world-renowned child psychiatrist Dr. Christopher Gillberg has referred to this as “possibly one of the greatest scandals in medical history” and his neuropsychiatry research group at Gothenburg University has called for “an immediate moratorium on the use of puberty blocker drugs because of their unknown long-term effects.”

AMA lends weight to fears on trans kids’ medicine

UPDATED The Australian Medical Association Queensland has taken a stand on the safety and ethics of transgender drugs and surgery for children, calling for a host of practitioner groups to come together and devise new national treatment guidelines.

The organisation covering more than 9600 doctors says it “strongly supports” the concerns of branch member Philip Morris, a leading psychiatrist, who has questioned the capacity of under-18s to make decisions about life-altering hormonal treatment or surgery “now shown to be not without harm”.

Puberty blocker drugs surge at Brisbane kids’ gender clinic

The number of children and teenagers at Queenslands publicly-funded transgender clinic has risen 330 per cent over five years, with an 85-fold spike in patients taking controversial drugs to block puberty.

In a statement dated January 30, Britain’s national health service, which runs the Tavistock youth gender clinic, announced that a past president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Hilary Cass, would chair an independent review of the use of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.

MP Amanda Stoker taking fight to transgender activists

The Queensland Liberal senator has quietly joined this toxic identity politics debate with a preamble on her personal webpage saying most Australians recognise the freedom of others “to live their life the way they want.”

“But that doesn’t mean we abandon truth. It doesn’t mean we abandon common sense or our understanding of basic biology,” she writes.

Senator Stoker said the bill was an attempt to “silence dissent” and “entrench hard-left gender ideology”.

“No reasonable person supports what comes to mind when the words ‘conversion therapy’ are used — but this law goes much further,” she told The Australian.

She cited “credible minds in medicine, psychology and law” who complain the bill is a threat to ethical and necessary exploration of personal problems and social pressures that may help explain the recent teen epidemic of gender dysphoria (the distress of feeling “born in the wrong body”).

“The drastic medical interventions that accompany a gender affirmative approach and which are being applied to ‘transition’ many young people who would otherwise go on to identify as gay or lesbian would be more rightly be regarded as the ultimate ‘conversion therapy’,” the Sydney-based Feminist Legal Clinic says in its submission on the Queensland bill.

‘It’s Not Fair’: Idaho Lawmaker to Introduce Bill Barring Biological Males From Girls Sports

Idaho state Rep. Barbara Ehardt plans to introduce legislation ensuring girls aren’t forced to compete against biologically male athletes.

“Boys and men will not be able to take the place of girls and women in sports because it’s not fair. We cannot physically compete against boys and men,” Ehardt told East Idaho News on Monday.

“The inherent biological, scientific advantages that boys and men have over girls and women, even if they were to take hormones, even if they were to spend a couple of years on estrogen, that’s not going to replace the inherent biological advantages that boys and men have,” she added.

Ehardt’s view is backed up by scientific research on the subject, which shows that biologically male athletes who identify as transgender retain physiological advantages over female athletes, even after undergoing hormone therapy.

Other bills meant to protect female athletes from being forced to compete against biological males are in the works in New Hampshire, Washington, Georgia, Tennessee, and Missouri, The Wall Street Journal previously reported.

I Am No Less of a Woman: Charlie Evans Interview

Charlie Evans is founder of the Detransition Advocacy Network. A registered charity, the Network is one of the first organisations set up by and for the detrans community. Following the launch of the Detransition Advocacy Network’s telephone counselling service, team AfterEllen spoke to Charlie about her work.

“It’s still something I battle with. But I think it was coming to the realization that feeling like there’s something wrong with my body doesn’t mean there is something wrong with my body, it means there’s something wrong with the way I see it.”

Drug giants scent gold in those transgender teens

So transgender teens are now buying hormone-altering drugs online. The NHS injects children wanting to swap their gender with the puberty blocker Gonapeptyl, costing taxpayers £82 per dose. One of its many side effects, apart from causing depression, vaginal bleeding, vomiting, hair loss, and emotional instability, is that it desensitises the pituitary gland. You can buy it online for £110.50.

Lucy Griffin, consultant psychiatrist at Bristol Royal Infirmary, has warned that doctors know very little about the long-term effects of medicines designed to delay the onset of puberty and that there is a risk of osteoporosis, permanent infertility or impaired sexual function.

Not surprisingly, pharmaceutical companies in the US are contributing millions of dollars to LGBT causes. In the two-year period of 2015-2016, institutional funding for LGBTI issues globally totalled approximately $524million, a $100million increase from 2013-14. Funding specifically focused on transgender communities totalled $26.1 million.

. . . Big Pharma such as Janssen Therapeutics, the health foundation of a Johnson and Johnson founder, Viiv, Pfizer, Abbott Laboratories, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, and Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, are pouring big money into the transgender project.
