Support the Kakuma Campaign — FiLiA

Escaping violence and lesbophobia in their home country, lesbian refugees are sent by UNHCR to the Kakuma refugee camp. As they are seeking asylum due to their sexuality they are put in the LGB&T Block 13. This identifies them to other refugees in the camp and they suffer ongoing violence and abuse as a result. The UNHCR and Police have been informed of these crimes but do nothing to support them or keep them safe.

On the 12th of August 2020 FiLiA released a podcast episode after interviewing nine lesbian refugees. They spoke of the lack of food, constant physical and sexual abuse and lack of basic shelter for them and the other LGB&T refugees in Block 13 Kakuma camp.
Since then, Patricia a five-month-old baby has died after being hit with a tear gas canister and two young men Trinidad and Jordan, were attacked with a firebomb, Trinidad later died from his injuries. Despite this, as you can hear the women say in their own words, UNHCR are still failing to offer support and protection to the refugees.
FOR WAYS TO HELP please read this CAMPAIGN PACK, which details how you can support including: donating funds, signing a petition, emailing UNHCR (the pack includes a draft letter & addresses) and sharing on social media.

The disgrace of Dana Rivers

The multiple murderer who stabbed two lesbians and their son to death before setting fire to their house was a trans activist. But the mainstream & ‘gay press’ largely ignored these horrendous crimes.

Sentencing triple murderer Dana Rivers to life without parole earlier this month, Judge Scott Patton called it, ‘the most depraved crime I ever handled in the criminal justice system in 33 years’.

Yet you could be forgiven for knowing nothing about it, because the court case has gone almost unreported. The reason is truly disturbing: Rivers is a transwoman, formerly a male teacher called David Warfield. Charlotte Reed and Patricia Wright were a lesbian couple.

As a trans activist, Rivers pursued a campaign of intimidation to protest against the right of women to have safe spaces of their own where men were excluded.

Uni of Melbourne VC blasts transgender activists

University of Melbourne vice-chancellor Duncan Maskell has slammed “disgraceful” campus vandalism by balaclava-wearing transgender activists – who were apparently targeting outspoken feminist philosopher Holly Lawford-Smith – and has referred the matter to police.

In a hard-hitting statement sent to the university’s staff on Friday afternoon, Mr Maskell warned: “The type of criminal behaviour seen last night has the potential to incite further physical and psychological harassment, endangering people’s well-being and safety, and it needs to stop right now.’’

The Australian understands that around midnight on Thursday, two activists smashed windows and sprayed graffiti with words to the effect “Trans – we are not safe’’ across the university’s Sidney Myer Asia Centre Building in Swanston Street in inner Melbourne.

These activists urged students to boycott Ms Lawford-Smith’s lectures, and they put up posters around campus declaring, “Only a fascist takes feminism”, “Are you on the side of fascists?’’ and “Our demands: Transphobes and Nazis off campus”.

Ms Lawford-Smith estimates that only a handful of people are involved in the “hardcore” protests. She said many students were “absolutely fed up and don’t agree with it’’ but fear being targeted by trans activists, resulting in a “false consensus’’.

Posie Parker protest: Young man accused of punching elderly woman granted diversion | RNZ News

A young Gisborne man accused of punching an elderly woman in the head during the heated Posie Parker counter-protest in Auckland has been granted diversion.

The 20-year-old first appeared in Auckland District Court on 20 April and was granted interim name suppression, which will remain in place until the legal proceedings have ended.

A further report of progress will be available by 9 October, he said.

Footage circulating on social media following the March event showed a heated meeting of the two groups in Albert Park in central Auckland. A man was filmed striking a woman at least twice in the face.

Prominent Trans Activist Found Guilty for 2016 Triple Homicide of California Family – Reduxx

A prominent trans activist has been convicted in a 2016 triple homicide involving a lesbian couple and their son. Dana Rivers, 67, born David Chester Warfield, was found guilty of murder in the first degree for the killings of Charlotte Reed, Patricia Wright, and Benny Diambu-Wright.

According to police reports, Rivers “began to make spontaneous statements about [his] involvement in the murders” while being arrested. Rivers ultimately confessed to killing the two women and their son, but entered a plea of not guilty on charges of triple homicide in 2017.

The case had first been set for trial in 2019, but was repeatedly delayed in order to accommodate an investigation into Rivers’ mental health. The trial finally began on October 31.

Prior to the slayings, Rivers was a prominent trans activist known for fighting against “gender discrimination.”

Rivers became known in 1999 after he was fired from Center High School in Sacramento County, California, for openly discussing his “sexuality and the importance of gender self-determination” in class with students.

According to a 1999 article in The New York Times, one parent stated that “[Rivers] said he had been sodomized as a youth and that he always felt he was a woman trapped in a man’s body and that he was going to be changing into a woman in the fall. He should have gotten permission from the parents to say this.”

Following the administration’s decision not to renew his employment, Rivers subsequently initiated a widely-publicized discrimination lawsuit that launched his career as a trans activist and resulted in a compensatory award of $150,000. He appeared on the Today Show and Good Morning America, and had even been profiled in the New York Times, quickly elevating his profile as a respected LGBT advocate.

Prior to the murders, Rivers also spoke as a guest lecturer at several universities, including Stanford and UC Davis, and served as a Board Member for the International Foundation for Gender Education (IFGE).

Under current California law, Rivers, if sent to a prison, would likely find his way into a women’s correctional institution, if not accommodated immediately due to his legal sex being “female.”

Male inmates do not need to identify as transgender to request transfer, and can simply identify gender non-conforming, or non-binary.

Earlier this year, Reduxx reported that a pedophile who had molested a 4-year-old girl had been moved to the California Institution for Women despite having been denied a gender and name change, and still legally being a male.

Let the UN Special Rapporteur on VAWG Deliver her Mandate

Let the UN Special Rapporteur on VAWG Deliver her Mandate

We, the undersigned, representatives of feminist, women’s and human rights organisations from the four corners of the world, from the South and the North, are appalled by the attacks against Reem Alsalem, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women and Girls – the latest of which is an open letter by AWID.

According to the UN Human Rights Council’s resolution 1994/45, the mandate of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women and Girls is to seek and receive information on violence against women and girls, its causes and consequences, and to respond effectively to such information. She is also tasked to work closely with all special procedures and other human rights mechanisms of the Human Rights Council and with the treaty bodies, so that they systematically integrate the human rights of women and a gender perspective into their work.

We are grateful to Ms Alsalem for fulfilling her mandate and adopting a comprehensive and universal approach to the elimination of violence against women and girls, its causes and consequences, including causes of violence against women relating to the civil, cultural, economic, political and social spheres. . . .

. . .

Ms Alsalem is currently being subjected to the same practices she had expressed concerns about and wanted women to be protected from. In her May 22, 2023 statement, Reem Alsalem denounced “the escalation of intimidation and threats against women and girls for expressing their opinions and beliefs regarding their needs and rights based on their sex and/or sexual orientation”.

By doing so, Ms Alsalem has done exactly what the UN Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women and Girls is tasked to do by the UN Human Rights Council: she is transmitting urgent appeals and communications to States regarding alleged cases of violence against women and girls.

An attack on her is an attack on us, and it is an attempt to silence us through silencing her.

Recalling the UNHRC resolution 1994/45, we urge the United Nations to protect Reem Alsalem, and provide her all possible facilities to continue her mandate to seek, receive and communicate information on violence and intimidation against women and girls, its causes and consequences.

From Simp to Soldier: How the Military is Using E-Girls To Recruit Gen Z Into Service

Amid a crisis in recruitment, the U.S. military has found a new way of convincing a war-weary Generation Z to enlist: thirst traps.

Chief among these attractive young women in uniform posting sexually suggestive content alongside subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) calls to join up is Hailey Lujan. In between the thirst traps and memes, the 21-year-old makes content extolling the fun of Army life to her 731,000 TikTok followers. “Don’t go to college, become a farmer or a soldier instead,” she instructs viewers in a recent video. “Just some advice for the younger people: if you’re not doing school, it’s ok. I dropped out of college. And I’m doing great,” she adds.

If Lujan feels like a psyop (a psychological operation) it is because, technically, she is. Lujan is a psychological operations specialist; one of a small number of Army personnel whose job is to carry out influence and disinfo operations, either on or offline. Thus, she is using her femininity to recruit legions of lustful teens into an institution with an infamous record of sexism and sexual assault against female soldiers.

The United States is a nation addicted to war, spending 229 of its 247 years of existence in some kind of conflict. It controls a network of over 800 military bases spanning the globe, and, according to a Congressional report, has carried out a staggering 251 foreign military interventions since the end of the Cold War in 1991. A new report compiled by the Institute for Policy Studies shows that the U.S. spends more on its military than 144 nations combined.

It is now well-established (if not well-known) that the Department of Defense also fields a giant clandestine army of at least 60,000 people whose job it is to influence public opinion, the majority doing so from their keyboards. A 2021 exposé from Newsweek described the operation as “The largest undercover force the world has ever known,” warned that this troll army was likely breaking both domestic and international law, and explaining that,

These are the cutting-edge cyber fighters and intelligence collectors who assume false personas online, employing ‘nonattribution’ and ‘misattribution’ techniques to hide the who and the where of their online presence while they search for high-value targets and collect what is called ‘publicly accessible information’—or even engage in campaigns to influence and manipulate social media.”

Woman(sic) sets homeless man on fire at Bulletin Square Townsville after he demanded sexual favours | Daily Mail Online

Frederick James Fulford, 28, who identifies as a woman, was convicted in a District Court jury trial last month of one count of malicious intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

At the sentencing on Wednesday, Crown Prosecutor Thomasina Papadimitriou said Fulford had been convicted of violent offences five times before the horror attack in Bulletin Square on March 24, 2021.

Fulford was sentenced to nine years in jail for what Judge Gregory Lynham said was a ‘serious violent offence’.

Ms Papadimitriou said Fulford’s previous offences included the armed robbery of a bottle shop and an assault involving a bottle of rum, the Townsville Bulletin reported.

The prosecutor said Fulford was on the ground and holding a bottle of petrol when a homeless man walked up to her (sic).

In CCTV footage shown to the jury during the trial, Fulford was seen jumping to her(sic) feet and pouring petrol over the man and then using a cigarette lighter to set him on fire.

The man ignited into a ball of flame and ran away, taking off his shirt.

The victim suffered 8-9 per cent burns to his body, mainly on his back, neck, left arm and left ear, which required skin grafts . . ..

The man will have significant scarring for the rest of his life, the court heard.

Target of trans rights campaign lodges WorkSafe claim against University of Melbourne

A feminist philosopher targeted by trans activists has lodged a formal complaint against the University of Melbourne, alleging it failed to provide a safe workplace.
Associate professor of philosophy Holly Lawford-Smith, in a complaint lodged last week with WorkSafe Victoria, accuses her employer of occupational health and safety breaches, of bullying her for her political views, and of undermining the university’s stated commitment to academic freedom.
The gender-critical feminist, who is opposed to trans women having access to women-only spaces and services, said she lodged the complaint following a two-year campaign against her that reached a crescendo following her attendance at the now notorious Let Women Speak rally, which was gatecrashed by neo-Nazis.
A university source, speaking confidentially to discuss internal matters, confirmed the university investigated Lawford-Smith’s attendance at the rally, where she was invited to speak by UK organiser Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull, and found she had no case to answer. A separate review into her social posts is ongoing. Lawford-Smith declined to comment on the investigations.
Lawford-Smith is one of a shrinking number of academics working in Australian universities who approach questions about sex and gender from a radical feminist perspective. Her teachings maintain that sex distinctions between males and females, rather than gender identity, should be prioritised when considering women’s rights.
She has engaged workplace law expert Stuart Wood, KC, who represented former James Cook University physicist Peter Ridd in a high-profile academic freedom dispute, and Holding Redlich workplace law expert Ben Marshall to represent her.
“It can’t be that every two years I have to pay $15,000 in lawyer fees or fear for my capacity to pay my mortgage,” she said. “That is just not a state that a person can work in. There has to be a point where it stops, and I think this is the point.”

No inquest into death of Christian Porter rape accuser

The South Australian coroner has ruled out an inquest but will not reveal the findings of an investigation into the death of an Adelaide woman alleged to have been raped as a teenager by former federal attorney-general Christian Porter.

In a statement on Thursday, State Coroner David Whittle said he had completed an “exhaustive” coronial investigation into the death of a woman referred to as Kate, who alleged she was sexually assaulted by Mr Porter when she was a teenager more than 30 years ago.

Mr Whittle said he had entered a finding as to the cause of Kate’s death and determined that an inquest would not be held.

SA Police referred the sexual assault allegation to NSW Police in 2020, but the investigation was closed because there was “insufficient admissible evidence” to proceed.

It was previously revealed NSW police detectives met Kate in Sydney in February 2020 and had contact with her on at least five occasions over the next three months.

On June 23 she indicated in an email to them that she did not wish to proceed with the complaint and two days later SA police advised she had died.
