A leading Scottish psychologist has been cleared of claims of misconduct over alleged social media posts which were said to have been “anti-trans”.
Dr Anne Woodhouse, a former NHS psychologist who now runs her own Inverness-based private practice, was accused of “posting or permitting to be posted” statements, including that the “majority of trans women are the result of men’s sexual fetishes”.  It was also said she “liked or permitted to be liked” posts that included a swastika formed by rainbow flags.
It is understood the complaints were made by John Naples Campbell, a school teacher who is also a drag queen, who goes by the name Miss Lossie Mouth.

Woodhouse was represented by Naomi Cunningham KC, the barrister who represented the nurse Sandie Peggie in her employment tribunal against NHS Fife, and Lauren Wilson of Markel Law.

Referencing the post about trans women and men’s fetishes, the lawyer said: “No doubt that is a statement that some people might find offensive. It is also a statement that many people consider to be true.”
