In the United States, thousands of men who have committed crimes from petty theft to the murder and rape of women and children have claimed to be women themselves and adopted a “trans” identity. In 27 states, these same men are allowed into the women’s prison estate. As a result, women have been housed with male criminals and blamed for years for some of the most horrific crimes imaginable. But these men are not women, and these are not our crimes.
We have compiled this publicly available data to show that the alleged “one-offs” are actually a systemic pattern of abuse against vulnerable women perpetrated by men and sanctioned by the state.
The Not Our Crimes Prison Project is 100% volunteer-run. We aggregate information from publicly available sources, fact-check the information, and are continually adding to the database.
