Last week I met with my local MP, Trish Doyle, specifically to speak to her about the conversion therapy ban. I am the parent of an ROGD child who has ASD. It did not go well. She admitted to being a big fan of Alex Greenwich and told us “No one is listening to trans kids and what they want!” She told me I sounded transphobic for using the word ‘help’ in relation to trans kids. “You’re implying they need fixing and there’s something wrong with them. They need support not help. ” She claims to be listening to all sides. I was almost in tears by the time the 30 minute meeting was over. She is definitely going to support the bill.

I wonder if your MP would say the same thing if you said your child did not believe their left leg was theirs and wanted it amputated so they could live a better life.
Clearly to think you inhabit a wrong gendered body is to be in need of help.
But the progressive left (And Pesutto) think that gender is a absolutely separate issue and that of all the mental illnesses this is the one where you cannot challenge the delusion.
Good luck with your child’s help. I have no advice to add except don’t necessarily trust any government run mental health service as they are infected with woke madness too.
