It’s been a year to the day since I was arrested for hurty words on a screen. I was about to start some stretching and light exercise with Stone the Crone – we meet via Streamyard online. I initially saw two police officers at my door and had no idea why they were there. ‘Rexene Landy?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘You’re under arrest for failing to obey a Harmful Digital Communications Act Order.’ I went back to the computer, told Stone ‘I’m being arrested, sorry I gotta go.’ So began The Punishment of the Uppity Native Woman With the Big Mouth and Sharp, Mean Words.

The process I was put through has come to a satisfactory conclusion – eventually – for me. I received diversion at the Wellington District Court, 16 December 2025. This entails me signing a good behaviour bond: a guarantee to keep the peace for a year, 20 hours of community work and a letter of regret. This will be finalised 9 February 2026 (the day after my birthday); the charges will be dismissed, and I will have no convictions/criminal record.

I have a timeline of this process I was put through and it makes for grim reading in light of our pornsick police force. It’s astounding what they’re doing to ordinary people while their top brass consume child rape material and dogfucking.

Four police prosecutors had looked at my file over the year, and appeared in court to oppose restorative justice, diversion, discharge without conviction, or Te Pae Oranga, the alternative Maori system of redress. One stood up in court in May and refused diversion. I was not a suitable candidate, on these grounds: ‘She is in the grip of an ideology and is unlikely to change her mind.’ REALITY IS NOT A FUCKING IDEOLOGY, PLOD.

I believe the court process was being used by NZ Police to re-educate me and punish me for my thoughts and beliefs.

What a fucking sick joke NZ is – paedophile protecting police force while the populace are charged for mean words.
