Oxfam is investigating the suspected involvement of its humanitarian workers in a new sex-for-aid scandal, The Times has learnt.
The allegations relate to incidents in African refugee camps where aid workers have been promising to pay teenage girls’ school fees in return for sex and trading basic food and supplies for sexual favours. Men have lost casual jobs in the camps and vital income because their wives “refused to have sex with ‘the boss’ ”, it is alleged.
