1. Definitions: The ABC is Australia’s publicly funded Broadcaster and NEWS source. ACON is the Aids Council of NSW, started to assist with AIDS awareness during the 1980’s AIDS crisis. It has since added gender diversity interests to its portfolio. 2. The problem a. The ABC are ‘Principal Partners’ and Platinum Employers with ACON. They have won awards from ACON for diversity recruitment and production / presentation of content in support of ACON initiatives eg ‘First Day or ABC Queer. c. The ABC provide celebrities free of charge for ACON events. d. A 2025 study of ABC Online NEWS articles related to gender identity found a heavy bias in favor of transgender and non-binary perspectives. ‘Bias by omission’ and ‘opinion presented as fact’ were common descriptors. The ABC, via its Charter and the The Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, must follow the standards of objective NEWS reporting. These standards are: a: To collect & present NEWS in an accurate and impartial way. This means presenting facts from all sides of a news story if they exist. b. To not be influenced by any outside organisation in it’s selection or presentation of NEWS. It is not only vital that the ABC follow these standards, but they are SEEN to follow them. Therefore, the ABC must sever its relationship with ACON.

I have watched the ABC since a child in the 1960’s. It has gone from an organisation that presented quality news and children’s programing to one that presents a very skewed progressive left propaganda, especially in it’s on line platform.
I remember one headline on line that was ‘Not only women menstruate’. Total madness really.
Alas the good old ABC is no longer trusted and no longer presents what is in Australia’s best interests.
In my humble opinion…
The ABC should not be supported by ACON as this is in breach of its own regulations.
