Surfing icon Bethany Hamilton is speaking out against the World Surf League’s newly announced policy that would allow for male-bodied individuals known as transgender women to compete at the highest level in professional surfing against other women.

In a video posted on Instagram, Hamilton has even threatened to boycott World Surf League events if the decision is not overturned, Fox News reports.

    It’s all total madness.

    As a heterosexual male I find it hard to see how we could ever have gone so far down this path.

    For a male to even want to compete against women is a farce. How do these male surfers even live with themselves?

    I fear the only way out of this perverse concept is for women to refuse to compete against these deviants and unfortunately miss out on prize money in the short term. Unfortunately the powers that be in the surfing world do not have the courage to buck this perverse trend…
